xviii, 264 pp. green cloth covered boards w/gilt lettering, dj green front panel w/black-and-wht oval photo of Judge Legett, spine w/black-green lettering, rear panel photo of the author. Judge Legeet arrived in Buffalo Gap, Texas in 1879 w/a good horse & saddle and a license to practice law. When the Texas and Pacific Railroad missed Buffalo Gap, he moved to Abilene. He was a stock farmer and rancher and a practicing attorney. He helped found Simmons College. prev owner's stamps two (three initials in circle) on the frep.
