Judge Legeet arrived in Buffalo Gap, Texas in 1879 w/a good horse & saddle and a license to practice law. When the Texas and Pacific Railroad missed Buffalo Gap, he moved to Abilene. He was a stock farmer and rancher and a practicing attorney. He helped found Simmons College. prev owner's stamps two (three initials in circle) on the frep.
