Two pages have full color illustrations and the remainder of the pages are illustrated in yel-black on white background. The first six pages contain an illustration for three letters and the last two pages contain an illustration for four letters on the page. It begins w/A is for Artillery, B is for Bugler, C is for Camp, D is for Drummers, E is for Engineers and ends with Z is for Zouaves. Some of the illustrations are for the American Civil War, Turkish, Prussian, Austrian, Russian, Scotch Highlanders, French, German & Danish.
