"There are glaring errors in every chapter, and many of the dates are wrong. The Author has Hickok sheriff of Dodge CIty, with Bat Masterson his deputy; Ben Thompson a marshal of San Antonio, Texas. It would several pages to enumerat e them all." Six-Guns #1710. "For the birth of William Tilghman, he gives correct month and day, but the wrong year. Author does not say much about the Hickok-McCanles "fight," but he does have the correct number of men involved." Burs #306.
