They were ordered to range over wide areas between designated rivbers and to scout the movements of the Indians. This volume contains information on seven Rangers: John Hays, Samuel Walker, Ben McCulloch, John (Rip) Ford, Lawsrence Ross, Leander McNelly and John Jones.
