The color frontispiece was illustrated by Charlie Russell and the illustrations in the text were by Harold Bugbee. Forty cattlemen met in Graham, Texas to discuss joint action against rustlers. The organization became the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. The author tells the individual stories of the men who shaped and guided this association.
