316 pp, quarterbound w/brown papercovered boards w/green cloth covere spine w/gilt lettering, light brown w/dark brown illustrated endpapers by Harold Bugbee, dj green-brown-tan w/color wraparound illustration. The color frontispiece was illustrated by Charlie Russell and the illustrations in the text were by Harold Bugbee. Forty cattlemen met in Graham, Texas to discuss joint action against rustlers. The organization became the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. The author tells the individual stories of the men who shaped and guided this association. In doing so, he paints a picture of the early days, the development of the cattle trails and cattle towns, the Indian menace, & the lonely life of the pioneers. dj chipped along the top edge, dj missing two inch chip on bottom of the spine.
