Houston, TX 1976 Original Manuscript Loose Near Fine No Jacket/Fine Clamshell Box Original Manuscript Tables 
(4), 242 pp, manuscript stored in a blue clamshell case. This is an original manuscript copied from the archives division of the Rosenberg Library of Galveston, Texas. The Civil War years are covered in this record. Often a soldier's company or regiment along with the name of his Commanding Officer are indicated, with both Confederate & Union forces being represented. They recorded the deaths during the yellow fever epidemic. The Sexton's use of phonetic spelling is evident in both surnames and places of origin, as well as in the causes of death. The pages of this manuscript are loose and ready to be given to a printer to be made into a book.
