x, 245 pp, red cloth covered boards w/gilt lettering & illustration, clear mylar cover, tan slipcase, author's signature stamped on the ffep. The book describes the tract encompassed by the states of Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico as No Man's Land. Without, all around law and established order prevailed, while within its borders, absolute freedom from civil government held sway. The book has material on the James-Younger gang, the Cole outlaws, Ben Thompson, Black Mesa, Beaver City, Cimarron Territory, Dodge City, cow town of Tascosa, and the 101 Ranch. It contains six poems. Radar #2756, Herd #1855, Six-Guns #1791. The book has a 6 cent postage stamp "Cherokee Strip" beneath the title on the title page, Stamped on the ffep "New Orleans Public Library Book Sale October, 1974" This is the only library marking on the book. light stain on the front cover.
