The book is divided into ten books. the first book - the boy, second book - the subaltern, third book - the captain, fourth book - the Michigan Brigade, fifth book - the Third Cavalry Divison, sixth book - After the War, seventh book - On the Plains, eighth book - The Last Campaign, nineth book - Soldier and Man, - and the tenth book - Personal recollections. This volume is an excellent account of the life of General George A. Custer & was published several months after his fall at Little Big Horn. some wear to the edges & corners, light staining on edges, prev owner wrote on ffep. This volume has not been repaired.
