644 pp, index, quarterbound w/marbled boards and brown leather spine w/red leather title block w/gilt lettering. The volume begins with No. 76 August 1, 1801 [No. 1 of Vol. 12] and ends with Vol 12, No. 82 January 20, 1802. The magazines contained letters to the editor. Some of the articles are: Infcription on the Babylonian Bricks, account of Fulnec a Moravian Settlement, Description of the gallery of antiques in the central museum of the arts in Paris, sketch of a journey from Copenhagen to Hamburgh, account of Ravenstonedale in the county of Westmorland, list of disease in London, New Patents lately enrolled, list of new publications in June. In the September it has Desultory comments on Mason's supplement to Johnson's Dicitonary, game of Popinjay, a pedistrian excursion through England and Wales during the summer of 1797, state of public affairs in August 1801, and more for the different months. The book has been rebacked with a new brown leather spine w/gilt lines. prev owners nameplate on FPD, & chipped and worn along the edges.
