The adventures of a young French nobleman, Pierre who was born in America with his companion Buckeye, a Delaware Indian. After an altercation in which Buckeye is accused of the death of a person attempting to hamstring a a horse Pierre was to ride in a race. They ride to Cherbourg to obtain passage on any ships going back to America. After reaching America they overhear plots, run into ambushes, go to the Alamo and leave, overhear enemy plans in the lair of El Tigre, and then are at San Jacinto. corners are worn, prev owner's name on ffep, and light stains on the fore edge.
