The adventures of Frank Chadwick and Jack Templeton two first Lieutenants in the British navy. While they are waiting for a motorboat to take them back to their ship they overhear three Russian officers talking. Frank follows the Russians and Jack reports back aboard the cruiser Norwalk to their commanding officer, Lord Hastings. Corners worn, chipped at top of the spine, andone inch chip on the spine.

The cover has submerged submarine and sinking warship. Mattson 09700-10c format #1. Lists to itself on the front advertisement page and on the rear advertisement pages. The adventures of Frank Chadwick and Jack Templeton, with Frank now first officer and Jack as Captain on board the U.S.S. Plymouth. The destroyer leaves port with three other American destroyers in the Irish sea. They are enroute to provide escort duty for transports filled with wounded soldiers returning to America. Jack was in charge of an American ship, because the American captain had become taken ill and his second was on a leave of absence.
