Compilation of original accounts by old trail drivers is one of best cattle books, & largest coll ection of first hand narratives of the range cattle industry. Burs 204, Basic Texas 99C, Six Score 61, Herd 1103, Six- Guns 1084, Dobie & Dykes 44 & 44 - 21. "This edition has new stories on pages 289, 387, 454, 623, 721, 843, 949, 1009, & 1017." "In spite of the crudeness, this is perhaps the most important single contribution to the history of cattle driving on the western trails." some wear to the corners and worn at the top & bottom of the spine, some rubbing to front hinge, small circular stain on front cover, prev owner wrote on FPD & pasted in article about this book, underlining on the contents pages, photo of round-up pasted in on recto of the frontispiece, light stamping of private owner's library stamp on ffep, rear flyleaf & rear free endpaper glued together.
