283 pp, [4], quarterbound w/brown-tan-red-green marbled boards and w/brown leather spine w/gilt lettering, cream-brown map endpapers, limited edition of 400 cc's, this being author's copy, brown cloth covered slipcase. Part I has two sections. "W.R. McEntire and the Founding of the U Ranch" by Monte L. Monroe and "George Herbert McEntire" by Ruth Elliott McEntire Caldwell. Part II contains Father and Son Correspondence: Running a Ranch including "A Jackrabbit Drive" by Abel Ramirez. Part III consists of "George writes to Virginia in School, 1930s." Part IV contains "George' Stories and Poems, 1930s and 1940s". Part V is More Correspondence, 1940s. The U Ranch was located in Sterling City, Texas. On the edition page for copy "Author's Copy" has been written in place of a number. Below this is the handwritten lines "West Texas Historical Association Ruth McEntire Caldwell April 2009 U Ranch". On the dedication page is written in the gutter of the book "Gift from Author 2009" in pencil.
