xiii, 109 pp, tan papercovered boards w/dark brown cloth covered spine w/gilt lettering, black lettering and brown illustration on the front cover, endpapers illustrated w/drawings of cattle, brands, address of the brand holder, limited to 750 cc's this being #576. The book highlights the fifteen hundred mile trek up the Northern or Texas Trail, and Shaw's acquistion of the old Duck Bar ranch house and headquarters buildings. He organized the Bridger's Ferry Ditch Company, raised Ethan Allen Morgan horses, was an inspector for the Converse County and Wyoming Stock Growers Association. reprint Howes S342, Herd #2041, Campbell pg 85, Dobie pg 118, and 44 & 44 #54. Prev owner wrote name on front free flyleaf.
