From that day untile 1959, when all but 10,000 acres had been dispersed, the narrative provides a succession of episodes, pioneering adventure, and large-scale business enterprise. interest centers in the drama of the Grant, which Guadalupe Miranda and Charles Hipolite Trotier de Beaubien two gentlemen residents of San Fernandez de Taos achieved from Governor Manual Armijo of Sana Fe on January 11, 1841.
