[14], 227 pp, orange cloth covered boards w/black title block on spine w/gilt lettering, map endpapers, Inscribed & SIGNED on the title page, orange dj w/black illustration on the front panel and with white lettering on the front, rear & spine. Ellis Bean moved from Tennessee in 1800 and was member of Philip Nolan's last expedition to Texas where he was captured by the Mexicans. He spent ten years in captivity until freed by the Spanish. He joined the army of the patriot Morelos where he rose in rank and esteem.
