Chicago, IL The Book House for Children 1925 Hard Cover Very Good- No Jacket Illustrated 
6 volume set, dark green cloth covered boards w/color pastedowns on the front covers w/gilt lettering on the boards and blank embossed borders on the front panels, green-white-brown illustrated endpapers. In the Nursery (vol 1) 1925 contains stories & rhymes from Mother Goose and by various authors Aesop, Edith Nesbit, Eugene Field, Edward Lear, Isaac Headland, Kate Greenaway, Mary Mapes Dodge and many others. Up One Pair of Stairs (vol 2) 1927 has stories by Bayard Taylor, William Shakespeare, Walter de la Mare, William Wordsworth, Palmer Cox, Katharine Pyle and others. Throught Fairy Halls (vol 3) 1920 contains stories by La Fontaine, Jospeh Drake, Selma Lagerlof, Albert Paine, Emily Dickinson, and many others. The Treasure Chest (vol 4) 1920 has stories by Stewart White, Katherine Cather, Walter Thornbury, Robert Browning, Charles Dickens, Theodore Roosevelt and many others. From the Tower Window (vol 5) 1921 contains stories by Woodrow Wilson, Robert Burns, Alfred Tennyson, Ernest Thompson Seton, Geoffrey Chaucer, John Whittier, Joyce Kilmer and more. The Latch Key (vol 6) 1925 contains childhood biographies of Louisa Alcott, Thomas Aldrich, Hans Christian Andersen, Robert Burns, Lewis Carroll and many others. Volumes two through six have slight rubbing on the color pastedown and a few small chips on edges of the pastedowns. Volume one several pages have adhesive tape on, some pages have small tears and some have chips. Volume one would be in fair to good condition and volumes two through six are very good condition.
