Volume 1 - (1972) brown cloth covered boards w/black illustrated front cover, - the first 227 pages contain information on the county, businesses, clubs, photos, communities, churches, doctors, bar & bench, miscellaneous, schools and ranches. This is followed by 179 pages of family histories. Volume 2 - (1977) - green cloth covered boards w/black lettering & illustrated front panel. It contains information on County Officials, early days, special days, churches, businesses, cattle brands, ranches, farms, communiites, schools and more family histories. Some of the ranches Waggoner or Three D Ranch, Hopkins Ranch, Harrison Ranch, Bar X Ranch, Hash Knife Ranch, Spur, Double Spur, Boone and others. Wayne Gard wrote a short article titled "Cattle Empire of Waggoners." Vol 1 - ex-library book from Abilene Christian University, prev owner wrote on the ffep of vol 2. Donor bookplate on FPD of volume 1.
