Chicago, IL Breeder's Gazette Print 1915 First Edition Hard Cover Very Good- No Jacket/Near Fine Slipcase Photos Autographed Letter Signed by Club President
[4], 322 pp, three quarter dark brown leather w/green cloth covered boards w/six ribs on the spine, green cloth covered slipcase, includes a LETTER from the president of the Saddle and Sirloin Club, Ward Neff to Julius Muller on the club's stationary. The letter concerns the juding of their Medal Essay Contest in 1921. The letter is tipped in on the RPD. Also has a color postcard #227 - Entrance Union Stockyards Chicago The title continued - "the Same Being a True Account of How Certain Great Achievements of the Past Have Been Commemorated and Cleverly Linked with the Present; Together with Sundry Recollections Inspired by the Portraits at the Saddle and Sirloin Club". The Saddle and Sirloin Club started as a place where visitors and business men about the Yard might meet in comrfort. It appealed to men who had a relationship to North American live stock husbandry. "The book contains numerous tales of cattle and cattle-breeders in America and England." Herd #1996 & Six Score #96. rubbed on the corners, worn on the top left corner, front hinge professionally repaired.
