xii, (4), 98 pp, grey boards w/blu lettering & illustrations, dj light grey w/dark blu lettering & illustration wraparound, photo of author on the back page, illustrated map endpapers. Rural Americans in 1935 wanted electric light, but the private utility companies wanted a rate of profit that the minimal incomes of farmers could not provide. The electric cooperative came into being and the book tells of the early days of the coop in Guadalupe Valley. Ex-library, remnants of card holders on RPD & rfep, stamped on title page, half title page has been excised, small peeled spot on bottom edge of front & rear covers, dj water stain on the spine.
