28 pp, wht-black SC wraps w/illustrated front panel. The booklet describes the seven mediaeval tapestries at the Cloisters in Fort Tryon Park, New York City. The woven panels portray the legendary and symbolic tale of the Hunt of the Unicorn. There are approximately 101 different plants represented in the tapestries with approximately 85% identifiable. The artisans of the tapestries placed the moisture-loving plants at the water's edge, the correct forest trees together, and the plants of open spaces generally where they belonged in nature. small stain on top corner by spine.
