But she has pedigree and is a registered collie. Her name became Pink. 89 pp, quarterbound w/bron-wht-grey color illustrated front & rear panels w/grey cloth covered spine w/black lettering, twelve color illustrations in the text. Albert Terhune describes some of the different breeds of dog and gives the history of their development to their present-day forms. Every dog has been brought to its present form for some special quality. The collie was oriignally a "coalie" and he has always been a herder of sheep and cattle, the cairn was once a hunter and received his name by going under piles of stones. remnants of prev owner's bookplate on ffep, dj has small chips at corners and large one inch by five inch chip at the bottom of the dj spine, some shelf wear on bottom edges of the boards, small tear middle of front top edge of the dj.
