xiii, 194 pp, red cloth covered boards w/black lettering, dj cream w/red border w/red-blk lettering w/illustrated front panel, pencil drawing of street scene on yellow endpapers, tightly bound. Front cover has word Diry in black, back of dj imprinted in red & black w/seven endorsements. Hare R3 - 319. The diary was written - or so its author alleged - when he was an eleven-year-old boy growing up in the 1860s in Exeter, New Hampshire. Plupy Shute's "Diry" makes up in wit all that it loses in spelling. a light stain on back cover, light soiling to cover, very slight shelf wear to edges of boards, prev owner's name on ffep.
