88 pp, yel boards w/dark brown lettering on the spine & front cover, dark brown illustration of lion, bird, rabbit, wolf, fox, bear, and turtle on the front cover, dark red two part box w/yel lettering & illustration on the top, includes tipped in publisher's book mark w/illustrated front of same illustration on front cover & box lid & blurb on reverse. A collection of animal fables with each pointing a moral. Aespo is supposed to have lived from 620 to 560 B.C., first as slave on the island of Samos and later as a ffree man at court of Croesus in Asia Minor.
