He used three criteria for selecting the ghost towns for this book. The first requirement was the site had to offer something for visitors to see. The second requriement was sites would have to have public access. The third was to give the entire state of Texas equal treatment geographically. Some of the towns are Adobe Walls, Belknap, Calf Creek, Camp Verde, Estacado, Hot Springs, La Reunion, Lobo, Mormon Mill, Peach Tree Vilage, Rayner, Salt Flat, Shafter Lake, Soash, Stiles, Tarrant, Williams Ranch and many more. prev owner's name on half title page, peeled spot on half title page.
