One of 999 copies. The book was the first book about a major segment of our range country. It was a survey about the early cattle industry. Latham quit the UPS hospital at Laramie to raise cows in Wyoming. The UP gave away thousands of copies of the 88 page booklet to encourage settlement along its lines. Today only a dozen copies are known. A facsimile of the original cover is on the ffep and the rfep has copy of the map that was the back cover of the original booklet. Carl Hertzog was the printer of this edition, Buck Schiwetz did the drawings and Jeff Dykes wrote the introduction, annotated the text, and prepared the appendix. Lowman #146, reprint of Dykes p16, reprint of Herd #1309, reprint of Howes L118, reprint of Graff 2408, reprint of Six Score #68, and 44 & 44 #71.
